Ghostface has returned for another killing spree in scream 6 and this time it’s in the Big Apple. In the latest installment, the masked killer with multiple identities returns to haunt the four survivors of shout 5. scream 6 it opened with the series’ best weekend box office yet, reaching $44 million in its first few days.
With success like that, it seems a given that another Scream movie is on the way, but a new entry in the series has yet to be officially announced. With that in mind, here’s everything we know about what scream 7 could be seen, including how scream 6 Management team says about it:

Will there be Scream 7?
Probably, but not confirmed. While a new slasher sequel is always likely, and doubly likely when the current iteration opens as strongly at the box office as scream 6 did, Paramount has yet to make an official announcement about the franchise’s next installment.
When will Scream 7 be released?
Yeah scream 7 it really is on the way, and if it comes from the Radio Silence team that ran the last two, then it’s likely going to take a bit longer than the ridiculously fast 14 months it took between shout 5 other 6. Speaking with Polygon, co-directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett said they wanted more time if they were going to do a scream 7 “I don’t know if we could have accomplished this if it hadn’t been with the same group of people. [that made Scream 5],” Gillett said.
Does Jenna Ortega want to be in Scream 7?
Possibly! Since she survives the attack of assassins in scream 7and that she is the biggest star of the series at the moment, it seems quite likely that Jenna Ortega will return for scream 7.
Who else will be in Scream 7?
The “Core Four” seem guaranteed to return for another Scream sequel should it release, but the rest of the cast is a bit more up in the air. Courtney Cox’s reporter character, Gale Weathers, also survived this movie, which means he could return for another entry in the franchise. Meanwhile, Neve Campbell, who plays Sidney Prescott, the star of the franchise, skipped scream 6 due to apparent contractual disagreements, but it is possible that she may return in the future as well.
